PLASTER MOLD MAKING WORKSHOP

SHADES & LIGHT WORKSHOP

In this 3-week workshop learn more about the fundamentals of shading and lighting through experimentation with different materials and techniques. ART ADVENTURES DROP-IN CLASSES
CHAW is excited for the return of our Art Adventures drop-in classes! Join us on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning October 6th (no classes 10/14 or 11/11). MIGRANT QUILT PROJECT
The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is proud to present the Migrant Quilt Project October 28 through December 9, 2019 in CHAW’s Gallery at 545 7th St, SE. There will be a reception on Saturday, November 9th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Free and open to all. General gallery hours are: 9:30 am–9:00 pm (M-Th), 9:30 am–6:00 pm (F), and 9:00 am–2:00 pm (Sat). The Migrant Quilt Project is a grassroots, collaborative effort of artists, quilt makers, and activists to express compassion for migrants from Mexico and Central America who died in the Southern Arizona deserts on their way to create better lives for themselves and their families. Materials used in the quilts were collected at migrant layup sites used for rest and shelter on established trails in the Sonoran Desert.
Taffety Punk Riot Grrrls presents The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice

The women of Taffety Punk began the Riot Grrrls theatre project as an an activist reaction to the lack of gender parity on DC stages. These all-female productions are a celebration of the strength of women in theatre. Click here for more info.

Drop-in Juggle Jam

Conquer the thrilling challenge of juggling with veteran juggler Christian Kloc at a drop-in Juggle Jam workshop. All ages welcome and equipment is provided.
