Drawing Studio for Adults with Chinedu Felix Osuchukwu
Explore the art of drawing through its fundamentals. This studio will teach you gestural, still life, portrait, and other forms of drawing in an environment open to all levels of expertise, and tailored to provide the personalized approach a studio practice requires.

Teacher Chinedu Felix graduated from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, received a full scholarship to The Corcoran College of Art, for his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting, and is a recent Graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art’s Master of Fine Arts program -where he teaches the “Art Matters” class as well. With over fifteen years of teaching art in DC area schools, including founding the Art Department at the Cesar Chavez Public Charter School, Chinedu will guide you and inspire you as you gain appreciation and strengthen your skills in the art of drawing.

Watercolor Studio for Adults with Leah Schaperow
Paint the world! Jump into our watercolor class and learn new techniques and ways of looking at the world. Choose from still life, landscape, architecture, nature, or create your own. Leah will teach you to mix and apply color, approach new techniques, paint the abstract, the realistic, and everything in between.

Teacher Leah Schaperow is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, BA in Studio Art, and has participated in numerous exhibitions in the region, including at the Maryland House of Delegates, Visarts gallery in Rockville, and recently at the Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring. She practices in a variety of painting mediums such as acrylic, oil and spray, along with expertise in drawing, photography, ceramics, metal castings and others media. She also teaches at the Arts & Learning Center at Inversity of Maryland and is a glaze technician at the District Clay Center in DC. Her class environment is geared towards learning and practicing at your own pace, and among peers.

Adobe Photoshop Studio for Adults with Allan Callander
You captured that perfect moment using your new camera (or even your new phone), now what? Allan will teach you how to take your photos from that perfect moment to the Perfect Photo.
All levels welcomed.

Allan Callander is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art’s Master of Fine Arts in photographic and Digital Media Program. He has work as a senior graphic designer, social, web and new media manager at different non-profit associations in D.C.. Hi has taught as adjunct faculty in computer graphics at American University, and counts with extensive expertise in design, graphic applications, as well as programming experience in different platforms. Allan’s studio will teach, talk about, and practice the
key tips, tools, and Photoshop techniques to take your photos from file to fantastic.
