Fridays, May 3, 17, and 24 – Working From the Figure Drop-In Figure Drawing

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop hosts drop-in Working from the Figure sessions on Fridays, May 3, 17, and 24, 2019 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at 545 7th Street, SE. Work on drawings or paintings in front of a live model in a session without formal instruction, facilitated by artist Will Fleishell. Please bring your own drawing materials. Easels are available. Join instructor Ellen Cornett for Paint & Sip, an evening of art and fun on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Art Workshop, 545 7th St, SE. Receive step-by-step instruction as you create your own masterpiece while enjoying refreshments. Cost is $30 and includes all materials. Friday, May 17 – Juggle Jam Drop-in Workshop with Christian Kloc

Conquer the thrilling challenge of juggling with veteran juggler Christian Kloc at a drop-in Juggle Jam workshop on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, 545 7th St, SE. The evening begins with a short demo, moves into some goofy warm-ups, then puts juggling props in your hands and offers pro tips to jump-start your newfound circus habit. All ages welcome and equipment is provided. Wear comfortable clothes that allow relaxed movements. Minimum donation of $5 with all proceeds going towards CHAW’s tuition assistance program. , May 18 – Capitol Hill Art League Opening Reception for an all-media exhibit Artists’ Pick

The Capitol Hill Art League presents an all-media art exhibit Artists’ Pick opening Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, 545 7th St, SE. General gallery hours are: 9:30 am–9:00 pm (M-Th), 9:30 am–6:00 pm (F), and 9:00 am–2:00 pm (Sat). Free and open to the public. New Murals in Lamond-Riggs Neighborhood

Amazing violin instructor Lovancy Ingram worked with the Anacostia Watershed Society on painting storm drains at Riggs Rd and South Dakota Ave, NE to help raise awareness about our connection to waterways and work towards a #TrashfreeDC. #CHAWsome!
