Fridays, October 6, October 20 & October 27 – Friday ARTnights: Drop-In Figure Drawing
The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) hosts a drop-in “Working from the Figure” session on Friday, September 1, 2017 and Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at CHAW, 545 7th Street, SE. Work on drawings or paintings in front of a live model in a session without formal instruction, facilitated by artist Will Fleishell. Please bring your own drawing materials. Easels are available. Saturday, October 14 – CHAL Gallery Show Reception
Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) will open its first show of the art season with League artists presenting their interpretations of their summer experience. Spencer Dormitzer, Director of the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery in Washington, DC, will be the juror for the show. Mr. Dormitzer will make remarks and present awards at the reception from 5:00-7:00 pm on October 14th.

The event is free and offers wine, food, and conversation with the artists. The exhibit will run October 14- November 11 in the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) Gallery, at 545 7th St. SE. The Arts Workshop is located three blocks south of the renowned Eastern Market on Capitol Hill.

The Art League is affiliated with The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW), a community-based, not-for-profit organization founded in 1972. Information about the Capitol Hill Art League can be found at www.caphillartleague.org.
