Workshop Description
Spark creative joy while exploring pure abstraction and abstraction of the figure through painted paper collage. Working in a generative way, you’ll create a large series of work that builds by continuously scanning and printing each successive piece to then work back into, adjusting and  transforming while preserving the previous pieces. The work will be figurative, but there will be no model. The figures will be invented and unique to each participant because of their individual sense of abstraction. You will leave with a body of work that demonstrates an exhilarating process, all on a path away from copying or rendering towards a more exciting and ultimately more real picture of what we find beautiful in the human figure. All materials and supplies will be provided. Learn more.

Washington Studio School is located at 2129 S Street NW.
