Create a Sun Print | An introduction to Cyanotypes with Zofie King

Saturday, August 15, 10 am – 12 pm

FREE

Make your own artwork using sunlight! This workshop is designed to introduce you and the whole family to the process of making cyanotypes “sun prints”.

For this easy photographic process, semi-transparent objects or negatives are laid on photosensitive paper, which is then exposed to UV light (ideally, the sun!). The parts of the paper that are covered remain white, while the exposed portions turn different shades of blue. Basically, the objects on the treated paper are like shadows which remain after the image is exposed, creating a memento. All necessary materials will be provided, including objects and negatives that can be used for exposure.

If you plan on attending this FREE Family Friendly Workshop please RSVP to veronica@nvfaa.org
