Join Washington Studio School in our gallery Friday, June 6th from 6 to 8 PM for the opening of A Matter of Pride, a community group exhibition featuring works by over 30 LGBTQIA+, queer and ally artists from the local DMV and international communities. Juried by artist Michael Crossett, the show celebrates queer identity through bold, personal, and political visual storytelling. Rooted in resilience and love, the exhibition creates space for joy, strength, and solidarity, while centering queer voices and lived experience with power and pride.
Also opening is a new Inglenook Gallery installation by local prolific artist Ashley Jaye Williams. This multimedia work explores the shift from gathering around the warmth of a fireplace to the isolated glow of digital screens, examining themes of connection, masculinity, and how we share space in the digital age.
